Current Project: Roll2Sol
Maskless nanoscale plasma etching structuring of printing rollers for roll-to-roll production of functional films using UV nanoimprint lithography.
In the Roll2Sol project, an innovative process chain is being developed for the production of printing rollers with sub-micron surface structures. These rollers are intended for use in the roll-to-roll manufacturing of functional films. One application case involves photocatalytic structures that can be used in green hydrogen production. Anti-soiling structures can also be created to reduce the adhesion of water and dirt on the surface of solar cells. Overall, this contributes to the optimization of solar energy generation. Both applications promote renewable energies and align with the goals of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) and the European Union (EU).
